Impressions

I'm not big on detail in my work. It's probably a reflection of the kind of paintings I like and may have something to do with the psychology of perception, and the need to make sense of what we see. Even as the person doing the painting, I get more satisfaction from paintings that require me to connect things that aren't there in the details. It's the overall impression that seems to matter.
