Welcome. My name is Skip. I've always enjoyed painting and drawing and created this site to share some of the things I've been doing over the years. I started painting portraits in 1983 when I needed Christmas gifts for my sisters. It became an unexpected pleasure that I still pursue, and most of my portraits have been gifts for my family and friends. The other paintings and drawings mostly came about as an effort to capture a particular scene and prints of some of these paintings are available at FineArtAmerica, or you can contact me directly at skipvanlenten@gmail.com.
